This unit is quite attractive and surprisingly large. It offers a nice balance of features and price. It is not waterproof and does not include side panels, but it is ideal for many who don’t need these features. The beauty and charm of this pop-up gazebo make it a great choice for back yards, gardens, the beach, etc.

Runner Up: Best Pop Up Gazebo
For those who are looking to use their pop up gazebo at craft fairs, farmers markets, etc., functionality will likely win out over aesthetics. The QuicTent is waterproof, comes in a wide array of colors, and includes four side walls, two with windows, and two with zippers. It is very well thought out for those who need protection from the elements, especially for work or charity-related events. Budget Pick: PopUp Gazebo
For those on a strict budget, the BenefitsUSA 10′ x 10′ Pop Up Gazebo is the best choice, given its feature set, and what is included. The BenefitsUSA tent comes with a waterproof canvas, four side panels (two with “windows”), and a handy carrying case, all at a great price. That said, if you can stretch for another of the tents on our list that includes a warranty and better quality materials, you will likely be happier. But if the price is the determining factor, you’ll get a lot of bang for your buck with the BenefitsUSA.

Pop Up Gazebo Reviews
In this section, we will look at several different pop-up gazebos, in varying categories, with various pluses and minuses to each. We will consider which ones may be best for which sort of buyers.
Z-Shade 13 x 13 Pop-Up Canopy Gazebo.
The Z-Shade 13′ x 13′ Pop Up Gazebo is one of our favorites on this list, due to the simple, non-forced style, the quality of materials, and the degree of thought that went into the presentation and use of this pop-up gazebo. It straddles the line between soft top gazebo and pop-up gazebo, but the assembly process is simple enough that we have categorized this as a pop-up.
It’s pretty easy to get these up and standing, and they look great. Z-Shade also includes a really nice roller bag that fits the entire pop up gazebo, allowing you to easily take it to your destination and open and close it. Be sure to close and store the gazebo if it is going to be particularly rainy or windy, as inclement weather will damage the canvas.
Key Points
- Pagoda/Pavillion Design with Two-Layer Top
- Two-tone canvas top
- Made of High-Quality UV Protected Polyester
- Has three height options for adjustment as needed
- Footprint: 10′ x 10′, Canopy Size 13′ x 13′, Peak Height 9’6
- Curtains only designed to cover poles, they are not side panels.
- Includes wheeled storage bag for easy storage and great portability
The Details
The Z-Shade 13′ x 13′ gazebo is an excellent choice for many, with many upsides. The gazebo is attractive, has a nice two-level roofline, has an adjustable height option, and has a footprint large enough for the whole family. The 13′ x 13′, 169sf shade area is large enough to shade two reasonably sized tables and chairs, or one large table with 8 chairs.
This large area is larger than most umbrellas available and is a big selling point.
We wish the curtains that cover the poles actually extended to function as side walls or screens, but they do not. If you want side panels or mosquito netting, you’ll need to get an extra. By default there are no attachment points, so you’ll have to rig something up yourself.
Weather Resistance
The canopy is quite water resistant, but it is not waterproof, and should not be left out in a heavy rain. Water will pool on the canopy, and heavy rain and wind will ultimately destroy the Z-Shade. You can stay under it with a light rain, and be fine.
Most of the issues buyers have with these units involve not respecting the weather, and we encourage you to properly weight down your pop up gazebo. They can be left up in good weather, but if you hear strong wind, rain, or snow are coming, you should take it down.
Assembly and Disassembly
The more experience you have taking this pop up gazebo down and putting it up, the quicker it will go. Typically, in the beginning, it takes around 30 min for two people to get it up, and put it down. That said, after a few times going through all the steps, you can get it down to 10 minutes or so for two people to get it all packed or unpacked, and ready to go.
Accessories
The most useful accessory for this pop-up gazebo is a set of canopy weight plates. These will help support the canopy in mild winds, but again, be sure to take it down if the winds are going to be strong, or if there is significant rain in the forecast.
Z-Shade does not have any mosquito screen/side panel set that goes with this unit, so you’ll have to make something work yourself. You could likely rig up a mosquito net using zip ties without too much difficulty, but the downside of this is that it’s probably not going to look too great, and the look of the Z-Shade is one of the big selling points.
The Bottom Line
If you want something you can set up and leave for months at a time, then the Z-Shade is not for you. We would suggest using a large cantilever umbrella or going for a hard top gazebo. But if you don’t mind the setup/take-down requirements, this unit is super useful, easy to handle with its roller bag, and quite large. The Z-Shade works well and will cover a large area, either two smaller tables, and chairs, or one large table and seating for up to eight!

CASTLECREEK Pop-Up Gazebo with Bug Netting 12′ x 12′
The CastleCreek Pop Up Gazebo is a wonderful, fully featured canopy with a valence that does not scream modern! but rather brings the gazebo to a more classical feel, which is nice. If you don’t mind the lack of modern design, the CastleCreek gazebo is top notch! It is a true gazebo, as opposed to a pavilion-like most of the other units on our list.
This is not a permanent outdoor structure, so buyers should be sure they understand that they’re getting a gazebo that needs to be taken down when the weather is bad. Most negative reviews of this product stem from not understanding this point, so if you’re looking for something more permanent, consider a hardtop gazebo.
Key Points
- 12′ hexagonal gazebo, 12′ in height to the top
- Two-layer pop-up top, with UV-protected polyester canvas
- Elegant, fully close-able insect screen side panels
- Water-resistant top will keep you dry
- Strong enough to suspend a chandelier from in the center (within reason!)
- Includes storage bag for portability and durability
The Details
The CastleCreek Pop Up Gazebo is a really nice choice, with high-quality materials, a good look, a large size footprint, and an included wrap-around insect screen for protection and health.
The hexagonal design is nice, and it is plenty large enough to fit a reasonably sized table and six chairs, or similarly sized set of patio furniture. The 6 legs provide more strength than a four leg unit of similar size would provide, which is nice, and the hexagonal design results in a nice look.
The bug netting is quite nice and will create a welcome refuge on your patio or deck, safe from mosquitoes, bees, and other nasties, while still providing views and fresh air. The bug netting is pretty easy to use and looks great either wrapped or spread out. Unfortunately, there’s not set up for adding side curtains, so you’ll have to rig up something yourself if you want to have solid side curtains.
Weather Resistance
The canvas top is water resistant, but is not waterproof, and is good for protection during showers and light wind. However, as with all pop-up gazebos, the Castle Creek is not designed to be left out in heavy wind. This is a glorified umbrella, and if you would likely take down your umbrella for a storm, you should plan to take this pop up gazebo down as well.
The instructions state not to anchor the gazebo to the ground with stakes, even though there are holes placed for stakes. This is because if the gazebo blows over, it may not get broken, but if it is tied down, the canvas will almost certainly rip in nasty weather.
Assembly, Disassembly, and Storage
Fortunately, the Castle Creek pop up gazebo is pretty easy to put up, and even easier to take down. After a few cycles, two people can put it up in 15 minutes or so, and take it down in 5-10 minutes. This ease of assembly hopefully counterbalances the need to take it down during bad weather, as most complaints about this unit stem from users leaving it out in rain and wind, when they shouldn’t.
The bag included is not very high quality and does not have rollers. We feel a roller bag would be more useful for this gazebo, and you may want to plan on picking up a different bag over time.
The Bottom Line
The CastleCreek 12′ x 12′ Hexagonal Pop Up Gazebo is a great choice for those not looking for purely modern design. This canopy is very functional and will last a while (if you follow the directions, and understand when to take it down!) Assembly and disassembly is not too difficult, and the shaded area is fairly large. This unit is not cheap, but it ticks virtually all the boxes, and is one of the best pop up gazebos on the market today!

Punchau Pop Up Canopy Tent with Sidewall 10 x 10 Feet, Black – UV Coated, Waterproof Outdoor Party Gazebo Tent
The Punchau Pop Up Canopy Tent is certainly not as attractive as the multi-tiered gazebo tents above, but it does provide a good deal of functionality at a good price.
The bare-bones look of the Punchau may turn off some, but the big advantage it provides is a very strong canopy with a waterproof rating! This is ideal for those who are going to be outside for long periods of time (perhaps at a farmer’s market, a wedding DJ, or as part of a charity race) no matter what the weather is. The tent pops up quickly, and includes a removable side-wall, as shown here.
Key Points
- 10′ x 10′ footprint
- 3 Ceiling height adjustment options
- Waterproof, UV Protected canopy
- Waterproof detachable side panel
- Carrying case included, but no rollers
- 1 Year Warranty (register online for an extra year of warranty!)
The Details
The Punchau Pop Up Gazebo has a great many use cases and can be set up on the beach, on a concrete patio, on a deck, or on virtually any (relatively) flat surface. The canvas is waterproof, and high quality, though there are no vents in the top, and airflow can suffer, if you have the side panel on and there isn’t much of a breeze.
The tent has three height options, which is helpful depending on your needs, and the shade circumstances. If you have some extra tall people in your group, you can easily raise the gazebo, but if you don’t need the height, you can keep the ceiling low and the shade where you want it.
The tent is not terribly heavy when collapsed, only about 35lbs, but it only includes a shoulder bag for packing and moving. No roller bag is included in the purchase, unlike some of the other gazebos on our list today. We understand that a roller bag is more costly than a shoulder bag, but for that much weight, it seems to us that a roller bag would be more appropriate, and hope to see Punchau add it as an option, or just put it as a default.
Weather Resistance
One of the major points of the Punchau Pop Up Gazebo is the 420D Oxford waterproof, UV protected cover included in the package. The canvas is actually waterproof, so you can sit under it even during heavy rains. That said, you should be wary of water pooling on the top, as too much water collecting on the top could cause the tent to collapse under the weight of the water. This would obviously not be a good thing for those underneath!
The canvas is also UV protected and includes a single removable side panel, which you can use for additional shade. Unfortunately, you can’t purchase more side panels to create an enclosed space, though ti would seem sensible to us that Punchau would sell this!
Assembly and Disassembly
The tent goes up pretty quickly, and after a few cycles through for practice, you’ll be able to assemble or disassemble it in 10 minutes or so. Typically two people are needed to assemble it, though one person could conceivably do so if they have done it several times before, and know all the steps.
The Bottom Line
The Punchau 10′ x 10′ pop up gazebo is a great waterproof utility tent, and may be a top choice for many. The design is spartan, but it is more utilitarian than many of the other items on our list. For those who need to use their pop up gazebo not just to sit by the fire, but rather to conduct business or otherwise stay outside regardless of weather, the Punchau is an excellent choice.

Quictent Silvox 10×10 EZ Pop Up Canopy Tent Instant Canopy Party Tent
The Quictent Silvox 10′ x 10′ Pop Up Canopy Tent differentiates itself by offering a huge array of colors. Though the look is functional as opposed to beautiful, the Quictent has a large number of use cases that make it a good choice for many. Like the Punchau above, the Quictent offers a 420D Oxford waterproof fabric that is UV-resistant. Unlike the Punchau, the Quictent Silvox includes two side panels with “windows” and two side walls with zippers for access.
The addition of many color options allows buyers to have some personality in their pop up gazebo, while still retaining many of the important qualities a waterproof tent provides.
Key Points
- 10′ x 10′ gazebo footprint
- 3 Height Adjustment Options
- Waterproof, UV-resistant fabric
- All frame joints are made of steel
- 10 Color Options
- Comes with guy wires and stakes for mounting
- Includes a Warranty, 6 months on the frame, 1 year on canvas, lifetime on parts
- Includes four sidewalls: two solid, and two zippered
The Details
If you’re looking for something practical, but not beautiful, the Quictent Silvox line may be the best pop up gazebo for your needs. Given that the sidewalls are included, have “windows” to see out, and are as waterproof as the canvas top, it’s hard to beat this package! You can choose which side walls go up and can use none, all four, or a combination.
The addition of a warranty is a help, and the fact that the frame is made of sturdy powder coated steel means that it can handle some wind without damage.
That said, we do suggest weighting down your pop up gazebo, likely with weight bags or other mechanisms to hold them down, especially if the tent is placed on concrete, pavement, or any other solid surface.
Weather Resistance
The Quictent Silvox is quite good in the weather resistance department, with UV protected waterproof fabric on the canvas top, and on the four sides. Those inside the tent are essentially completely protected from the elements. That said, there isn’t much ventilation in there, so it can get somewhat stifling if everything is enclosed.
Also, like the Punchau, the waterproof nature of the fabric can result in pooling of water on the tent. Be sure to check every so often, if cats and dogs are coming down, as you don’t want to let the canopy get overloaded with water and collapse!
Canvas Seams
Some buyers have reported issues with water getting in through the seams in the canvas. If you find that you have problems with this issue, be sure to contact the company as soon as possible, as the canvas itself should be waterproof. It is under warranty for a year, so contact them as quickly as you can if you run into an issue.
If you are planning to use this tent at craft fairs, farmers’ markets, etc., where you really don’t want any water dripping onto your goods, we suggest setting up the tent when you receive it, and testing it with a water hose to ensure that all of the seams are in fact watertight. If you find that everything is good, you’re all set; if not, contact Quictent for a warranty claim.
Assembly and Disassembly
The Quictent Silvox goes up and down in a matter of a few minutes and is quicker and easier to set up than the more attractive, but less waterproof, options above. Two people are still essentially required to get the tent up, though it is possible that one person could assemble or disassemble the tent if they were very experienced.
For those looking more for a tent to enable them to accomplish a task, rather than a pop-up gazebo for the beach, or the patio, or the garden, then the Quictent is a great choice, given its ease of setup and take down.
The Bottom Line
The Quictent Silvox line of pop up gazebos is hard to beat, for those looking to use the tent for a purpose other than relaxing on a sunny day. The inclusion of the waterproof canopy and the waterproof side panels with zippers make this package a stunning deal, given its price point. It is extremely functional, well built, and useful, with several color choices, and even includes a decent warranty. It is our runner-up best pop up gazebo!

BenefitUSA EZ POP UP Wedding Party Tent 10’x10′
The BenefitsUSA Pop Up Tent is a nice 10′ x 10′ pop up gazebo with quick assembly and included sidewalls, for an aggressive price. Like the other more utilitarian pop up tents on our list, this tent is made of waterproof canvas material, and this package includes four side wall panels!
BeneftisUSA advertises this as a “wedding tent”, and the white look would make this a good choice for a pop-up wedding tent, though for that type of gathering if it doesn’t need to be weatherproof, you may want to move toward the much more charming Z Shade or Castle Creek.
Given the price point this package hits, it’s a very impressive deal. BenefitsUSA has no option for color selection, other than white, but what it lacks in variation it makes up for with outstanding pricing.
Key Points
- 10′ x 10′ footprint
- Includes four removable side walls, including two with “windows”
- Side panels do not include zippers
- Canvas made of somewhat UV-resistant polyethylene
- Frame made of powder coated steel
- Easy Setup and Take Down
- Includes carrying case
The Details
The BenefitsUSA pop up gazebo offers a lot of benefits for a great price, and depending on your needs, may be an excellent choice for you. We do strongly suggest you understand the limitations of these tents, as many of the complaints buyers have about these tents are easily remedied.
Unfortunately, none of the solid panels include a zipper, which makes getting in and out of the tent with all of the sides on… difficult, to say the least! Additionally, the Velcro is not the highest quality, and over time may not work as well as it did originally. Users tend to supplement the Velcro with zip ties in these circumstances.
The canvas is advertised to block “up to 95% of UV rays” but if you plan on using it for shade for your family, say on the beach, we would definitely suggest picking up an additional UV spray, and coating the canvas for more protection. It’s best to be safe when sunburns are possible!
Weather Resistance
The BenefitsUSA tent works pretty well to keep the rain out. It is made of a tarp-like material and is waterproof unless it receives a puncture. The side panels are made of the same material, and should also be waterproof.
We suggest buyers that need a waterproof tent for weddings, work at craft fairs, etc., set up and test their tent before it is needed, to ensure that there are no holes or other problems with the canvas that let water get in.
It would be nice if BenefitsUSA offered a warranty on these tents, but currently, there is no information on warranties, and we would not rely on the company to replace the gazebo if it gets damaged.
Assembly and Disassembly
BenefitUSA advertises this pop-up gazebo as “pop up in less than one minute”. That seems to us to be a bit of an exaggeration, but perhaps a couple of really experienced tent assemblers could get the tent up in about a minute. Typically it will take a little longer than that, and it usually does require two people unless you’re very familiar with the process. Figure 5 minutes for assembly, which is still quite good!
Accessories
While the BenefitsUSA tent does include stakes, they are not very good quality. If you’re choosing this tent, and plan to use it on grass or on any area that can accept stakes, you may want to pick up a higher quality set of tent stakes just to ensure that your gazebo doesn’t attempt to go on vacation!
If you plan on using this pop-up gazebo on concrete, pavement, etc., then you should plan to pick up some weight bags or other canopy weights in order to keep the tent as stable as possible.
The Bottom Line
If your budget rules all, and this tent is about all you can afford, it should work well for your needs. The price is really appealing, and the fact that this tent includes four side panels, and should be waterproof makes for a compelling case to purchase. However, for not a whole lot more money, buyers could move up to some of the higher end tents that offer warranties and a better feature set. Should you choose to purchase this pop-up gazebo, be gentle with it, and it should last you a while! Get some better tent takes and weights, and use them to keep your tent stable as much as possible.
