Westinghouse Solar Landscape Lighting Product Reviews
Westinghouse 758365-11WHW Pinnacle Solar Garden Stake Light (12 Pack)
The Pinnacle Westinghouse Solar Path Lights kit is a simple, high-quality solar path lighting system. The design is simple and modern here, with no unnecessary flourishes or decorations. They are simple and functional, and won’t get in the way of the other objects in your garden or lawn space.
The Basics
- Number of Lights: 12
- Number of LEDs Per Light: 1
- Size: 2.5″ x 11″ (not including stem)
- Battery: 350mAh
- Materials: Stainless Steel frame with Glass Lens
- Finish Colors Available: Gunmetal and Bronze
The Details
The Pinnacle 12 light pack is a pretty good deal at its price point, given that the units are made from glass and steel. This is definitely preferable to plastic, which tends to be weaker and brittle in the elements.
Don’t expect a ton of light out of these units, as they only have one LED per light. They will cast enough light to dimly illuminate a path, but like all of the lights on this list, they will not light up a yard or anything like that. If charged in full sun, these lights will stay on for most of the night.
The Bottom Line
The Westinghouse Pinnacle solar path lighting package is a reasonably good 12 unit pack at a good price point. With only one LED these will not glow super brightly, but they are adequate for many applications, and the construction makes them a pretty good buy.

Westinghouse Trojan Solar Garden Pathway Lights (16-Pack)
The Trojan line of Westinghouse solar landscape lighting has a lot of lights in each package, but the quality is not ideal. The look of these lights is pretty modern and minimal; they aren’t our favorite on this list, but the overall look is clean and contemporary.
The Basics
- Number of Lights: 16
- Number of LEDs Per Light: 1
- Size: 2.5″ x 11″ (not including stem)
- Battery: 350mAh
- Materials: Stainless Steel frame with Plastic Lens
- Finish Colors Available: Stainless Steel
The Details
The Trojan Solar Pathway Lights are a good package, but not the best on our list. With a plastic lens, and only one LED per fixture, these lights will be dim, and over time may be prone to failure.
You can leave them out during the winter, but the plastic is more likely to crack than glass will, and if water gets into the unit, there will likely be problems in the future.
They will last for approximately 8 hours if charged up fully.
The Bottom Line
The Trojan series of solar path lights offers a lot of lights at a bargain price, but with a larger number of dimmer lights, you may be faced with more points of failure, and more battery headaches to worry about in the future.
We would suggest sticking with a metal and glass unit to make the lights as headache-free as possible.

Westinghouse Bastille II Solar LED Stake Light, Bronze (6-Pack)
The Westinghouse Bastille II Solar Stake lights are a step up from many of the other lights on this list in quality. They have two LEDs per light, which means they shine brighter, and are made with quality components.
The design of these lights is pretty traditional, and we can’t say we love them, but the light output and build quality are high.
The Basics
- Number of Lights: 6
- Number of LEDs Per Light: 2
- Size: 4.7″ x 15″ (not including stem)
- Battery: 250mAh
- Materials: Stainless Steel frame with Glass Lens
- Finish Colors Available: Bronze
The Details
The Bastille II solar path light has two LEDs per unit, which provides a significantly brighter experience than many of the Westinghouse Solar Path Lights on our list. These also have a glass top area, which provides another area for light to escape, increasing the overall brightness per light.
The Bottom Line
The Bastille II lights are among the best solar path lights Westinghouse makes. They are bright and will last all night if charged in full sun.
They cost more per fixture, but with two bulbs per fixture, the cost may even out compared to many of the other lights on our list.
We just wish they made the style a bit more modern!

Westinghouse Atlanta Black Solar Garden LED Stake Path light (9 Pack)
The 9 Pack Atlanta Solar Garden LED Stake lights is similar in design to the Bastille II lights, but with a greater number of lights per package, and poorer construction quality.
These units are decidedly traditional in design, though the look is pretty classic. We prefer the black of the Atlanta lights to the Bronze of the Bastille II lights.
The Basics
- Number of Lights: 9
- Number of LEDs Per Light: 2
- Size: 3.9″ x 17″ (not including stem)
- Battery: 400mAh
- Materials: Plastic frame with Plastic Lens
- Finish Colors Available: Black
The Details
The Atlanta package of Westinghouse Solar Pathway Lights is a good choice for those who have longer paths and don’t want to spend on the Bastille II lights but still want good lighting output.
These units have two LEDs per fixture, and with a 400mAh battery, will stay lit all night if exposed to good light during the day.
The entire unit is made of plastic, which feels a bit flimsy, but should be fairly sturdy as long as you don’t subject it to heavy snows. The lens is made of Plastic, with both the top area and the side clear.
The greater amount of lens space means that more light escapes from the package, resulting in greater illumination than many other models on this list.
The Bottom Line
The Atlanta solar path light kit is a nice choice for those who are looking for a bright LED path set that doesn’t break the bank. With a little care and maintenance, these units should last a while, though beware they are simply not as strong as the steel and glass units out there.

Westinghouse Petite Solar Powered LED Crackle Ball Path Light (Black, 12 Pack)
The Crackle Ball Westinghouse solar landscape lighting kit has a rather cool look, with a spherical ball-shaped lens (made of plastic) in a crackle finish.
These lights are pretty contemporary looking, and they cast a decent amount of light.
The Basics
- Number of Lights: 12
- Number of LEDs Per Light: 1
- Size: 2.5″ x 10.25″ (not including stem)
- Battery: 150mAh
- Materials: Plastic frame with Plastic Lens
- Finish Colors Available: Black
The Details
The Crackle Ball Path lights produce a surprising amount of light for a single LED light and last fairly long for a 150 mAh battery. With 12 in a package, these are a bargain for many looking for a modern solar path light.
The light cast by these solar path lights is a clear white, and with an interesting finish and a crystalline solar panel, the Crackle Ball path lights are a compelling product line.
The Bottom Line
The Westinghouse Crackle Ball lights have a contemporary look rather than a sleek modern look but are likely to work in a variety of decors an styles. The glass design is whimsical, and the light output is significant, given the specs of these lights.
While you may want to pay attention to these lights when the snow comes, they are a good choice for contemporary solar path lights.

Westinghouse Kenbury LED Outdoor Garden Solar Path Lights (Copper, 6 Pack)
The Westinghouse Kenbury line of LED outdoor garden lights is one of our favorites, with a fairly modern aesthetic, attractive finish options, and a two bright LED lights per fixture.
The Kenbury line of solar path lights can change colors! You can choose to change the color on a per-fixture basis or adjust them all.
The Basics
- Number of Lights: 6
- Number of LEDs Per Light: 2
- Size: 6″ x 15″ (not including stem)
- Battery: 400mAh
- Materials: Stainless Steel frame with Glass Lens
- Finish Colors Available: Black, Chocolate Brown, and Copper
The Details
The Westinghouse Kenbury set of solar path lights is not the cheapest on our list, but we love the three finish options, as they clearly separate these lights from the standard black/antique bronze/stainless steel options seen on most Westinghouse Solar Pathway Lights.
The construction is as good as it gets, with a steel housing and a glass lens. The braces that cross the lens are made of plastic.
If you don’t see the stakes with these units, you may need to look at the bottom and twist to reveal the stake, which pops out from the shaft.
The fact that these units can change color makes them a bit more fun than some of the other solar path lights on our list. They can either do only white or a constant shift of colors.
Assuming you give these lights a good dose of sun, they will shine all night, and supply light until the morning.
The Bottom Line
The Kenbury line of solar path lights is probably our favorite lights on this list. The finishes are attractive, the materials high quality, they have two LEDs per fixture and a good battery.
And lastly, they have a reasonably modern design.

Westinghouse 136003 Paradise LED Solar Stake Path Lights (Gunmetal, 12 Pack)
The Westinghouse Paradise LED Solar Stake light set is a pretty standard solar path light kit, with steel-framed units, each housing one LED, with a plastic lens.
The design of these is pretty nondescript and would fit in virtually any style of home, which we suppose is a plus, but the look doesn’t win us over!
The Basics
- Number of Lights: 12
- Number of LEDs Per Light: 1
- Size: 4.5″ x 10.5″ (not including stem)
- Battery: 400mAh
- Materials: Stainless Steel frame with Plastic Lens
- Finish Colors Available: Bronze or Gunmetal
The Details
The Westinghouse Paradise Solar Path Light Kit is a decent set of solar path lights at a pretty aggressive price point. The structure is made of steel, which is a plus, though only one LED is included per fixture, and the top of the unit is covered, so not a whole lot of light escapes into the surrounding area.
The lens is etched, so these lights produce an interesting line pattern on the ground around them, which is a nice plus.
The battery is a good size, so these should last through the night, assuming they are located in a sunny area.
The Bottom Line
Overall, the Paradise solar lighting kit is a good choice for those who don’t want to spend a lot of money, but who want a reasonably modern look, a steel frame, and some light output.
At the price point, Westinghouse is positioning these lights, they may be a good choice for many buyers.

Westinghouse Milano Stainless Steel Solar Garden LED Stake Light (4 Pack)
The Milano stainless steel solar garden light kit is made of good quality materials, though the design of these lights is a little weird, and only one LED is included per light, so they’re not terribly bright.
In a Japanese garden, these lights may look great, and in certain modern circumstances they will work, but we are a bit puzzled as to the overall aesthetic of the Milano lights.
The Basics
- Number of Lights: 4
- Number of LEDs Per Light: 1
- Size: 6.7″ x 13″ (not including stem)
- Battery: 400mAh
- Materials: Stainless Steel frame with Glass Lens
- Finish Colors Available: Bronze
The Details
The Milano light kit only includes four lights, though they are well built. They don’t put out a ton of light, about 1.5 lumens each. The top is covered, so no light escapes through the top.
The lights do cast an interesting pattern on the ground because of the angled glass, but it’s hard for us to get excited about this set.
The materials are solid, with a stainless steel finish and glass lens, it’s hard to argue with the construction. Additionally, these come with a 400mAh battery, so they should pretty easily last through the night assuming you’ve got them in a sunny area.
The Bottom Line
The aesthetics are strange on the Milano light set and we’re not sure who Westinghouse is targeting with these lights. The construction is good, but given the price point these are targeting, we think you’ll find better value elsewhere on this list.
We would suggest looking elsewhere unless you’re going for a Japanese Garden look.

Solar Explorer LED Path Light Stainless Steel (7 Pack)
The Explorer set is by far the most inexpensive lighting set on our list, and while it is small, includes 7 lights per package.
The specs are low, but the construction is steel, and the design is compelling given the price point these are placed at.
The Basics
- Number of Lights: 7
- Number of LEDs Per Light: 1
- Size: 2.5″ x 14″ (not including stem)
- Battery: 150mAh
- Materials: Stainless Steel frame with Plastic Lens
- Finish Colors Available: Stainless Steel
The Details
The Explorer lighting kit is definitely not the best quality on our list, but given the price point, these are a great choice for those on a budget. If several units fail, just buy a new set and you’ll be able to keep going. They are practically disposable.
These units actually produce a decent amount of light, though with only a 150mAh battery, will likely stop shining before dawn unless they’re in a very sunny area and its summer time.
The design is nice, with a fairly modern or transitional look that would likely blend in most environments without sticking out.
The Bottom Line
The Westinghouse Explorer solar path light set is among our favorites on this list due to its price point, and the quality offered. There is a lot of value in this set. As long as you go into it knowing these are not the best quality lights but are very high quality given their price point, you will be quite happy with the Explorer light set!

Westinghouse Adonia Solar Pathway Light Set (4 Piece)
Rounding out our list is the Westinghouse Adonia Solar Pathway light set, a four-piece light set that is one of the top quality light kits on our list.
This Westinghouse solar light set is larger than all of the other units on our list and puts out a good deal of light. The styling is pretty traditional and fairly elegant.

- Number of LEDs Per Light: 2
- Size: 6.3″ x 20″ (not including stem)
- Battery: 400mAh
- Materials: Stainless Steel frame with Glass Lens
- Finish Colors Available: Black
The Details
The Adonia lighting set is perhaps the highest quality Westinghouse solar pathway light kit on our list. It his all the right accents: two lights per fixture, steel and glass construction, glass cap for extra illumination, and big 400mAh battery for long-lasting brightness through the night.
These units are a great choice for those who want to buy and not worry about their solar path lights for a while to come. The photo-cell is enclosed in the frame of these units, which makes them much stronger than many of the other solar path lights around.
The Bottom Line
The Adonia path lights are extremely high quality, perhaps the best of Westinghouse’s line. These cast among the most light of any solar pathway light, and will last a long time.
The Adonia lights are well constructed and are a great choice for many users looking for a sizable, traditional style solar path light.

Westinghouse Solar Pathway Lights Buyer’s Guide
Here are a few aspects you want to consider when shopping for a solar pathway light:
Materials
The most common materials for solar pathway lights are steel, plastic, and glass. The cheaper units on the market are frequently made completely of plastic, from the shaft to the lens, to the housing.
These tend not to last a very long time and are generally not recommended.
Better units use steel as the structure, glass to house the lens, and generally plastic as a stake material to insert into the ground. These units are much more likely to last more than a season.
Number of LED Bulbs
The number of LED bulbs per unit defines the light output per unit. Usually, each light is 1-1.5 lumens, so a two light bulb can often be 2-3x as bright as a one light bulb. Also, pay attention to the amount of glass around the bulb; if there is a solid canopy, the fixture will not illuminate as much as a fixture with a glass top would.
Number of Fixtures Per Package
There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the number of fixtures available per package on the Westinghouse solar path light packages. From 4 to 16 lights are available per kit, so consider the length of the area you want to illuminate, and determine how many lights you will want.
Some of the larger, more expensive lights cast more illumination, so you may be able to get away with fewer larger, higher quality lights.
Fixture Size
Larger fixtures more easily handle a greater number of LED lights and are more likely to expel a good quantity of light. Still, small fixtures can work very well at illuminating pathways and certain areas that do not require a large amount of illumination.
Battery Capacity
Battery capacity determines how long a given solar light will last in a space. If two LED lights are present, the battery will drain at twice the rate as if only one was present.
Keep in mind that you can generally swap out the battery in any of these solar lights, so if you find a light that you really like, but are unhappy with the battery capacity, you could consider purchasing larger capacity batteries and using those instead.
Design
There are a wide variety of aesthetic options available for solar path lights, from traditional to classical, to Mediterranean, to Modern, to Contemporary. Consider how the given light fixture will look in your garden, or along a path by your front door, before you buy.
